Lyla, the colors you chose are really easy on the eye. I would love to be able to stand under these structures. It would be so peaceful. Well done. Love, Nana

I love the fact you are learning about famous artists. Starry Nights is one of my favorite Vincent van Gogh paintings. However, he has nothing on your Scary Nights painting. I love everything about this painting, Lyla.

Lyla: Like I told Jackson and Wyatt, I am a little confused because I thought I had written on some of these pieces of artwork. Certainly I have seen some. What is important is that you know I am sorry for being behind but, most of all, how much I love your work. I think you have a real flair for some of this and it looks like you enjoy doing it. I chose to write on this one because of how chilly, (or was it real cold) earlier this month. I first thought this child was screaming about the temperatures. However, I think she is lying down and making a snow angel, at least in her mind, just like the one you made in our yard. Keep up the good work, the great attitude and thanks for always sharing these with me. Love you. Papa

Lyla: What a great picture you drew! Your beachgoers all look so happy but then, with your attitude every day, that does not surprise me. Are the six people there suppose to be your family? If so, which one is Lucas???? I also love the colors you chose. Keep up the good work and stay happy. Love you. Papa

Lyla- I saw this and wondered how you could have something new since you are not at Tomahawk. Then I see your new teacher posted this!!! I love the colors of it but I also love all the things you have to learn and do. I especially think the one called PRAY is especially cool. Now that one will make you feel great every day. Love, Papa

Lyla: Well, isn't this a happy looking little fella!!! Did you name your Tiger? Papa always called your mom "Tiger" (and I still do sometimes). Maybe this could be Mama Tiger!!! Whatever you name it, I love it and especially the smile on its face. It looks happy just like you do so often times. Love you. Papa

Lyla: Holy cow! This fish has every color of the rainbow and then some extra colors! I love it. What is its name? Can it swim as fast as the fish in your room? I know one thing. It cannot hind like they can. This little fella just brightens your day, doesn't he? Good job. Love you, Papa

Lyla: I saw this and it just made me smile. I thought to myself that only Lyla would come up with two colors for a heart around Valentine's Day. Whether you meant it this way or not, I am believing you put the orange on the one side to remind us of the warmth of the sun and the red side reminds us of the warmth of your heart! You make Amma and Papa so proud. Love, Papa

Lyla: I am very late about writing this and I am sorry. However, I needed something to sort of make me smile this morning and this did it. Your choice of bright colors just sort of "hit the spot." Maybe you could explain to me how you made it some day or, better yet, you could make another one. Keep working hard. Love you, Papa

I used to read the book, “The Rainbow Fish” to your dad and Aunt Rachel when they were your age. It was all about sharing your talents and not keeping them to yourself. Now I see how talented you are as an artist and it’s so cool that you share your work with others. Your fish has wonderful colors on it, Lyla. Keep up the good work. I love you, Nana

Lyla: You know that over the years people have always called male (boy) turkeys "Toms." So, based on how cute you made this turkey, I think it is a girl. Is her name Teresa? Tammie? Turkey? Whatever it is, thanks for doing a nice job on it. Love you. Papa
