I like your variety of people in different poses, Luke. They're all in motion or ready to be in motion. The colors are great, too. That smiling block watching the people is really different! Thanks for sharing with us!

Luke, this is the first partially eaten food sculpture I've seen. Usually I've seen fruit or vegetable still lifes, or partially filled wine bottles and crusty rolls and cheese. I like the colors of your piece of candy contrasting the green pieces of vegetables. Is that a hot dog, or a carrot covered in ice in the upper left corner? Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

This is a really nice drawing of Luke Skywalker in his Jedi robes and light saber in hand. The background behind him is nice and colorful too. Thanks for sharing with us.

Is this a drawing of Luke Skywalker at home on Tatooine with the Millennium Falcon nearby? Love the two suns overhead. I see Luke's prepared to battle with his light saber drawn and ready to strike. Can never be too careful! Great job, Luke.

Your dove is beautiful, Luke. It has that olive branch in its beak and stands on top of the colorful peace sign. If only our world could be more peaceful.

Love your hearts in all colors, designs, backgrounds, and perspectives, Luke. What a nice idea for Valentine's Day!

Luke, I really like the way you drew the mountainside and then used different shades of red to separate each part. Good job!

Love it, Luke! Excellent work. Love,

Wow, Luke! I'm loving your Darth Vader drawing. He's just as dark and threatening as the movies show him. I see he has his red "dark side" light saber drawn and ready to battle The Rebellion. Hope you have your light abre ready. Luke, may The Force be with you!

I love the snowflakes dancing in the Winter sky as the full moon shines overhead. The bare trees cast shadows on the snow covered slopes. There's a squirrel hole in the one tree where he can stuff acorns and stay warm. A little bird is perched on a top branch of one tree looking across the woods. Great job!

Hey Luke, I like your Kandinsky style tree. The circles on the tree are like Christmas tree ornaments with all the pretty colors. Thanks for sharing with us.

Wow, Luke! Looks like you and Tanner were on a parachute ride at the fair or amusement park and it was looks exciting! You both had your hands in the air while the ride twirled you around. I see a roller coaster in the background for later. That must have been some day! Good job!

Oh, Luke.... it's a perfect drawing of you! You even caught that one lock of your dark brown hair that always falls on your forehead. You also showed us your smile and shiny brown eyes. Great job, buddy! Thanks for sharing.

I'm so proud of you, Luke! I love this one. Great work.

Luke, I love your watercolor of the four pumpkins! I see you're thinking about Halloween as you look out the window of your house, far away from the field where they're setting. I see night sky is coming in on the left side of the picture and the moon is rising on the right side. You used nice fall colors for the field. Nice day to night sky/cloud colors. Great job!
- Grandma Hope on September 30, 2023

Luke, I love the beautiful roses, tulips, and flowers in the multi-colored vase you drew in this picture. The border around the edge of the drawing has bright colors too. Great job, buddy!
- Grandma Hope on June 23, 2023

Luke, I really like your choice of colors when painting your flowers. I like the way they contrast with the spring green background. Which did you find easier to use when painting--the oil pastels, or the watercolors? Nice job!
- Grandma Hope on June 23, 2023

Luke, I really like the bright colors you used in your Olympics sports drawing. My guess is the person is either playing volleyball or basketball and getting ready to volley back or take a shot. With all the wavy lines flowing around the person it shows action. Great job!
- Grandma Hope on April 27, 2023

Luke, I really love the beautiful heart drawing with all the bright colors and intersecting shapes and patterns/colors inside those shapes. You're so creative and I always look forward to your next piece of artwork. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Wow, Luke! Is that you as an astronaut flying over the Nintendo factory and towards the moon? That's pretty exciting! I love the dark purple sky and the white Nintendo factory with the red lettering. I guess you launched yourself off the building, over the tree, to the moon? Great job!
- Grandma Hope on March 8, 2023

Luke, I absolutely love your drawing of big snowflakes falling all around you and filling the air! Are those pine trees in the background and twinkling Christmas lights? I see you're ready for the chilly air with your scarf and hat and earmuffs. Nice self-portrait. You're as handsome as ever!
- Grandma Hope on March 8, 2023

Luke, I absolutely love your snowman drawing! The snowflakes floating in the air; the snowman standing to the side with a big smile, carrot nose, ball cap, and striped scarf, and shiny eyes; and the snow covered lawn leading up to your school. Good job! Grandma Hope

Luke, I love your skull in tribute to Dia de Los Muerte!!! I love the flowers in the eyes and on the chin, the swooped eyebrows, the wiggly lines on the cheek bones, and the red circles on the top of the skull. Nice teeth! You did a fabulous job! Grandma Hope

That is a great self portrait, Luke, in your Mills Lawn Bulldog T-shirt! You told us three things about yourself too! First, you are a sport player. You love baseball just like Great Grandpa Tony. Second, you are a late sleeper as compared to Tanner. Third, you are Tanner's little brother. The best thing about your drawing is the smile on your face and twinkle in your eyes. Fantastic job! Grandma Hope

Great drawing of you playing Mario on your Switch, which you received this Summer, Luke! I see the A player and the red buttons on your control. The drawing also shows the steps Mario has to climb and the gap he has to jump across to the other side without falling, or getting killed. Exciting, huh? Good colors and great work! Thanks for sharing! Grandma Hope

Luke, I love this drawing you made. The colors are nice and bright, and each little person really stands out! The peace sign reminds me how important it is to deal with each other in a peaceful way. I like the numeral 7, which I realize is your age when you created this. I looked up the artist who started this style and he was someone who spoke out about things happening in the world and let his drawings speak for him. Great job, Luke! ?? Grandma Hope

Luke, this is a really interesting drawing. It looks like you used watercolor, either colored pencil or crayon, and regular pen or pencil for the outline. The shape is nice and the way you drew lines to divide it into sections made it even prettier. Next time I see you you'll have to tell me all about it. ?? Grandma Hope

What beautiful colors in your snowflake drawing, Luke. I see they're starting to pile up in the yard with a patch of green grass peeking out on the right side. It's nice how you show them floating in the air in all their different shapes. Keep up the great artwork and thank you for sharing with all of us. Grandma Hope

Luke, I absolutely love this drawing of the cardinals in the trees with snow falling! The birds were such a pretty bright red and the trees and snow drops were gray, which made the birds really stand out. Keep on drawing and sharing with all of us! Grandma Hope

Wow, Luke! You just never fail to amaze me with each of your drawings. That is one scary scarecrow. Bet those crows thought twice before landing on his arms! The colors in your drawing are so rich and perfect for Fall. Good job buddy! Grandma Hope

Luke, I really like the blend of colors you used in your dot painting. You used the beautiful red that you love so much surrounding the dot. You then added the orange and brown and black shades as you go away from the dot. Very nice! Keep on painting and sharing your artwork. We all enjoy seeing it! Grandma Hope

Luke, I absolutely love the flower! (It's the same color as my tablet!) I see all the other little circles in the background full of fuschia dots. Are those tiny flower seeds full of more flowers ready to pop out when you plant them? You are such a wonderful artist. Thank you for sharing. Grandma Hope

Wow, Luke! That's a really great picture of you in your bright blue Brewers hat and shirt from when you played baseball this Summer. I really enjoyed watching you hit that old baseball and run the bases! Even better was to see you as catcher, or in the outfield, and see you run up on the other team's hits and throw them out! Your team was even the champions for the Minor League Division! Thank you for that fun!
- Grandma Hope on September 9, 2021

Great picture of the leprechauns, Luke. I guess the big one is King Brian, and the little one is one of his crew, watching over the pot of gold. Looks like they've grown a nice crop of shamrocks to scatter through the yard. Nice bright colors! Grandma Hope

Luke, I remember how intently you worked that day in picking out certain colors, shaping your body, eyes, and hair. You wanted to make sure it looked just like you. In the end picture it does--especially your beautiful bright eyes! Grandma Hope

Lukey, that is an outstanding idea of the cuff becoming a body cage to capture criminals! I also see the little regular guy on the left side of the drawing and the arrow pointing to the big Super Hero Cop after he transforms. The colors are nice and bright and I love his Super Hero outfit. Great job, Lukey! Grandma Hope

Hi Luke It’s me Meemaw Sharon I love the picture you drew for your mom on her birthday. I don’t know who the picture is of. It doesn’t look like your mom though. I hope you are staying well and no more flus or viruses this year. I miss you so much. Call me sometime. Love Meemaw Sharon.

This is how the boys have started decorating envelopes. It's similar to Dav Pilkey's "flip-o-rama" technique. This was my birthday card from 3/11 of this year.

Hi Luke It’s MeeMaw (grandma Sharon). I saw your new artwork painting online and I love it. It looks like Beans or Bears in a green cave. Pretty interesting but I wouldn’t go in that cage if I were you. It probably is a Bear cave. You know because you are my Little Bear. I love you!
