I hadn't heard of grid drawing before! It's great that you are learning new techniques. This is by one of Aunt Mary's favorite artists - wait until she sees it! Great job with the cat and fish. :)

Dyl, this is gorgeous. I'm glad you chose a black background, because it makes all of the colors stand out without being too bright. Great color choices, too! Love it.

This is awesome, Dylan! It's fun to shape things with your hands.

I love that you copied a Matisse painting - he's my favorite artist :) You really challenged yourself with this one, too! I would not have chosen a painting with such tricky perspective to copy, but you did great!

Dylan,Nice job. I love the bright colors you used and the symmetrical properties of it. The black background is an excellent choice. Great job.

This is really cool, Dylan! Pottery/ceramics is one of my favorite art forms, so I think it's great that you're learning how to do this!

This is beautiful, Dylan! Great job on the flower; it looks like it took some complicated folding techniques! I LOVE the colors - they make me think of spring :)

I love your take on famous works of art, and I could not pull off that perspective if I tried. Great job! We should go to a museum together someday. :)

I like the spacing you use without everything in straight lines. The shading on the sun is awesome, and I like that some areas are more filled in than others. Great job!

Nice and vibrant; you did a good job with getting the Warhol look!
- Rachel (Mother) on January 13, 2020
Very cool, Dylan, the colors are awesome & Andy Warhol's got nothing on you :)

Your sky colors are beautiful! It makes me think of the Northern Lights. <3 Mom

Dylan, I like the use of silhouettes on this artwork. It looks great against the colorful sky and it almost looks like the figures are coming off the page a little. Good job and keep up the creative artwork!

Dylan, This is a very creative piece of work. I like how you used good perspective in your drawing and decorated the walls with scenes from nature. The bright colors stand out nicely. Good job Dylan!!!!

Nice perspective, bright and colorful. I find it great that you chose to draw art work that shows the beauty of nature around us, we sometimes are to distracted to notice. Take time to smell the roses. :)

This is fun, Dylan! Love the colors & variety of lines! You may not know this, but Jeff Koons, who designed the balloon dog in your picture, is from Red Lion - cool, huh?
- Aunt Mary on November 27, 2019
Nice perspective. It reminds me of one of the art museums we visited in DC a couple years ago! I can tell you put a lot of thought into your work. xoxo Mom

Wow, you're right, Dylan, this is very unique! I love how you really captured all of the "layers" of the deep ocean, & Uncle Kevin LOVES jellyfish so of course this is right up his alley :) Great job!
- Aunt Mary on November 6, 2019
I think the lines in the ocean add texture, but I also like that you are working on creating your own style. :) I like this scratch art and agree that the jellyfish are fantastic! Love you.

When you think of dots this is quite the different level. Way to think outside the box. Google maps has nothing on you. Keep your wheels turning, Pap.

Very nice, Dylan Pie ;) The abstract lines woven around and through your dots are eye catching and creative. Love, mom

I like the use of the lines and different shapes to keep your eyes moving through the artwork. Nice Job!! -pop pop
