Madeline, I love your Christmas artwork! The cup of peppermint hot chocolate just jumps off the page. So does the book — which I choose to think is “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” — something your grandfather has read to you! Love and hugs.

Madeline, I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind; but, I've titled your most recent art "Seeing the Cherry Blossoms with Grandpa." I love that you've drawn the trees in full bloom and have also shown that they have dropped many of their blossoms, leaving a pink carpet to walk on. It's a beautiful rite of spring to enjoy. I'm so proud of your own art talent that continues to "blossom!"

“…and the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there…” Beautiful picture of a special girl’s family room, Madeline!

Madeline, your “Untitled” artwork of cupcakes is beautiful. They practically jump off the page and onto my plate. Yummy!

I was thrilled to see butterflies — which I love and are very important to me — be part of your art lesson. Madeline, you’ve done a wonderful job of creating them and they look beautiful! And, since butterflies make appearances in your pictures and cards for me, you knew this would make me smile!

A very imaginative way of creating “pop” art with the emphasis on “pop!” Well done.

Magnificent, Madeline! The 3-dimensional view of the vase is excellent and the dropped sunflower petals on the table were a nice addition.
