Wonderful! Fantastic how with the different simple shapes and colors you made … Anthony Edwards! Paper cut art is very famous. Artist Henri Matisse was no longer able to paint so he made wonderful paper cuttings.

Soccer, football & hockey with Roxie? Clever.

I love the half-portrait of T-Wolves Anthony Edwards! This is how you learn to paint portraits. (p.s.- I hope Ant can play tonight …)

The “Drake Maye” half & half art is very interesting! Good work on arranging and then drawing your half. I think it would be interesting to cut a photo of person’s face in-half and draw the other half. That might also be a good way to learn to draw people’s faces. Great job!

Yes, the layers of paint and color of “Squeegee and Pastel” give the impression of distance in the background. The bold colors are up front. The colors fade and blend in the distance. Great work!

Wonderful collage! Although the artist points out the “smiley-face”, I particularly like the photo of (what I believe is) the Andromeda Galaxy aka M31. It is the nearest other galaxy to our Solar System at “only” 2.5 million light years away.

Excellent! Summertime green in front leading to tree line with multi-layered sunset sky highlighted by red-orange sun. Lovely.

Bobblehead #9 is very good! I like the holes at the eyeballs & nostrils, the arms, and the blue hat/beanie. I can't make out the insignia/writing on the front of the hat/beanie from the photo. I love the head! It looks a little like the Grinch that stole Christmas!

Excellent tiny art also showing importance of framing! Ultimate football victory with Lombardi Trophy and goalpost. Good timing on including victory of Artemis spacecraft heading out on Moon mission. Are the three stars Lien, Harrison and Claire?

I like the lino-block. My interpretation is "angry duck defends his pond in forest against beaver and beaver house". Someday I will find my woodcut-block prints of my parents' homes in Europe.

This is a very thought provoking piece of art. I am proud that you've captured a lot of positive experiences in your more column. And identified items in your less column that are not always the best choice or something to work on to improve. Again I'm so proud of you.

You are a great football player, Lien and your love for the game is so strong. Keep up the good work and have fun. Your artwork is a true statement of who you are. Go Edina Hornets!

Fantastic! Finger puppets....reminds me of director Tim Burton's movie "Edward Scissorhands" from 1990 starring Johnny Depp as the unfinished humanoid. Kind of a "Beauty and the Beast" story. ...but can you play the guitar, piano, and send a text message?

Fascinating! Lien32's still life reminds us of "Still Life with Watermelon, Pastries, Bread and Wine" by Luis Melendez at the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain, where our son was studying. Great work!

Perfect Summer art! At the Lake on the dock watching the Sun on the horizon? Just perfect.

“Shine Bright” is perfect for the first days of Spring! I particularly liked the flowers with your continuation of the purple and gold theme from your prior art piece “Optical Illusion”. Skol!

Wow! Your spirals are an ancient sign of the energy of life! We have seen these same spirals in Ireland and Mexico created by people thousands of years ago.

Whoa! Moai! Yes, I know first grade work, but I just recently received access to your portfolio. I knew exactly what it was from your drawing. Next time you have a clay sculpture (like your Clay Owl) project (or maybe I should try myself), it would be interesting to make a clay sculpture of an entire Moai. https://www.britannica.com/place/Easter-Island/Archaeology. Fun!

Big Bird? Looks a bit like Edvard Munch's "The Scream". Which recently sold for $120 million. I like it!

Your "Landscape" (including your Colorado inspiration) is very good! It reminds me of various well-known artist landscape paintings from the US Southwest. The far distant mountain range is a lighter color indicating distance. Interestingly, the solid colors are in contrast to your "Mini-Art" which emphasized various shades of color in particular the red color which you noted. In "Landscape" your red color at front is solid & bright indicating (to me at least) closeness to the viewer.

Lien's comment about fading the color red as well as overall art reminded me of the Rosette Nebula.
