This abstract has nice curves and good use of the dyes. Glad the colors did not "muddy."

It is amazing what you can do on the humble Paint program. I have to save up to get ADOBE Photoshop for you.

Sometimes, it is fun to paint a "messy" painting.

Your tree is strong and beautiful. You did a good job using the wax resist technique. It was truly fun watching you paint in the studio.

Great line drawing of Dietrich. I like the contour of his hand and arm. You captured the curl on his forehead, too!

Your Australian Turtle is a wonderful image of the Sea Turtle. My dad and mom, Kong Kong and MinMinne took me to see the Leatherback Turtles lay their egss when I was a young girl. It was awesome! Mommy

Your Australian Turtle reminds me of Australian Aboriginal art. When I was child, Kong Kong (your grandfather) took us (Ton Ton Shien, Auntie Julyn and me) to Trengganu on vacation. In the middle of the night, he woke us and told us in an excited voice, "The turtles are here, the turtles are here." I am sure I muttered, "Do we really have to?" The sight was amazing. The whole beach was covered with mother Leatherback Sea Turtles. They were huge, larger than any grownup. They would drag themselves onto the beach from the sea, dig a whole with their hind flippers and lay their round eggs into the hole. "Why are they crying?" Huge tears rolled from their eyes as they laid their eggs. "They need to tear to keep their eyes moist while they are onland." It is through experiences like these and many more that my father instilled a deep love for the natural world in each one of us.
