This drawing is so airy and Springlike. The salmon colored blooms in the pale background contrast vividly with the strong dark lines of the foreground. Brings to mind Japanese drawings whose open or uncluttered areas enhance and simplify the overall image. As though what is not shown is as important as what is. So fine.

The single green color's different depths, and the liquid-like shading give a relaxing quality to the drawing. The softly rendered teddy bear and shadowy background have a dreamy effect. A charmingly peaceful image.

Such a total burst of colors. Not knowing the assignment, I have imagined this to be a deep blue shark, on the rise from a golden embryo, into a fire red sea. The swirl of primary colors delivers so much energy. Has a great feel.

This is an attention grabber. I'm not sure what the assignment was, but I would call this 'a shining cluster of primary colored jewels'. Full of energy, and delightful. (My comment could a repeat, as my first attempt may not have gone through correctly.)

I like to return to these studies because the variety of the depictions reminds me of how even slight differences in the density or the direction or the combination of pen (or brush) strokes can change the effect of an image.

You’re on a roll Hudson. Very nice “vase” art.

I like the candy Hudson.

These finger drawings - so cool ! They look futuristic, a combination of skeletal and mechanical. The repeated and enlarging designs of the knuckles has a rhythmic effect. Yes, very cool. [As a side note: If looked at vertically, they could be formations (or aliens?) from outer space.] :)

This depiction of writings from earlier times that could be from different cultures and in unfamiliar languages, is a welcome reminder of peoples long ago who expressed what was meaningful to them, writings that survived long enough to be rediscovered and to convey their world and their ideas to us. The design and the placement of the writings resemble headstones in a cemetery, which seems extremely fitting.

This could be titled, 'One Hot Day at the Ocean'. It takes the fortitude provided by two generous sized ice cream tubs [for an overheated beach comer-not pictured] to arrive at the goal of the grass hut and lounge chair near shore. The creative use of perspective even allows the viewer close enough to grab a 'tasty' scoop!

This has a party feel, an invitation to step right into the picture. Hands reach out with offers of fruit; a tree on the horizon holds more abundance; sun and clouds look on contented with their work. A joyful atmosphere.

It was unexpected that a study of lips alone (even such real looking ones as these) could suggest something about the nature/character of the whole person. It is as though the drawing is the beginning of a story.

The solitary structure in the midst of tall grasses with only a couple of palm trees nearby brings questions: Why is it so isolated? Has it been forgotten? What might be inside? A well crafted mystery. The mood of the drawing makes the viewer want to know more.

A happy mix of color and satisfying design in a cheerful sunrise-like background. Very pleasing to the eye.

The arrangement of the lines can either pull energy inward as to a 'black hole', or can expand it outward to burst in all directions. Unexpectedly hypnotic.

The determined tank master's expertise appears to have won the full attention of the packed crowd of observers in the stands. The scene has a quietly amusing quality.

These decorations dangle so close-up in the foreground that it seems a person could step into the setting and brush up against them. Very festive .

The bold angles and the dramatic range of the black-through-white shading bring the drawing to life life. VERY powerful.
