Julia, I love the 3-D look on this dragon, in addition to the beautiful spring green of the body. Well done!

Julia, I love seeing your amazing artwork. I appreciate how much time and effort you put into your creations to create the beautiful colors and textures in your creatures.

This is such an evocative picture, Julia. The empty chair is so sad. The dark brown color of the chair, as opposed to the lighter brown of the backs of the other chairs, makes the empty chair stand out and focus one’s eyes on that chair. But the birds bring a hopeful note. I like this picture very much.

Thank you for sharing this artwork with us. It really does convey an insight into what families of hospital healthcare providers are going through. The Spring bird songs help make us feel better.

This is such a beautiful painting. I think your edits, Julia, would brighten the picture and improve it.

Julia, this is very interesting! I have never heard of "appropriation in art" but I can see it's value. I think you were succesful in changing this to a Summer scene. I think it probably highlights the lake more with the strong green contrast of the trees. I'd love to see a copy of the original next to it.

Julia, your art work looks like an excellent portrayal of Japanese anime! It reminds me of characters portrayed on book covers. I think you are a master of drawing on your iPhone! I’m always excited to see your new pieces!

Julia, I love your art work! This clay piece is especially interesting because of the intricacies in the frame. The contrasts in shapes and colors are wonderful. The green spheres and the red accents make the frame eye catching and the triangular pattern contrasts well with the square shape of the picture. I also think your use of the darker purple color helps to highlight the bright blue sky in the clay picture. By creating the figure waving and smiling you have added motion .....a signature in all of your artwork! I am flattered that you chose me as the subject. Your heart on the frame warms my heart and this makes me smile every time I look at it. A big thank you goes to you, my very special and talented granddaughter. You make me proud every day!

Julia, this is a wonderful self portrait. I like that you used water colors, oil pastels, and line to create your portrait. It has great composition and flow. I, also, like your use of complementary colors (orange and blue) and that you created an interesting background design with the Golden circles. It is very pleasing to look at.

This is one of few portraits I have seen drawn by Julia. I think she had a talent for drawing expressive eyes. I think the line of the neck and shoulder are graceful and the portrait well proportioned for facial features. I always enjoy seeing Julia’s art work.

Julia, I like seeing your monkey in the tree representing things that you like. I think it's quite clever the way you incorporated the pencil by being held in the monkey's tail. The running shoes and the book both add human elements to the monkey. I can almost hear her taunting the other monkeys saying "Haha....look what I have!"

This is an excellent drawing which is a result of very careful work. It has a great sense of detail and proportion. The more you look at it, the more you see. Great work!
