Some great news! Last month I was awarded the NAEF Grant that will go towards the purchase materials to build the Graffiti Wall for Leading Edge! YAY! If you are a handy person that likes to swing a hammer, I NEED YOUR HELP!  Please email me at jnovello@natomascharter.org
I am very thankful for all of your continued support and I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season!

Just for Grade 7

This week students wrapped up the first project of our Advocacy Unit. I have linked a Parent Letter here to describe the unit in more depth. Next week students will collaborate with local photographer, Doug Winter, and create artwork centered around the Sacramento Homeless. I am excited to have the opportunity to use art as a tool to dive into meaningful issues with my students.

Just for Grade 8

This week students analyzed art elements of book covers to redesign a book cover of their choice for the Big Day of Reading. Ask your child what book cover they are redesigning and give them feedback of their design draft! The students will submit their designs to the contest on 12/7. The NCS campus is excited to gain more ceiling tile murals this school year!
Artsonia is the largest student art museum in the world! Our dream is that every young artist will have an online art gallery, preserving their masterpieces in a digital portfolio!
