It is with great joy and excitement that we welcome back all of our Wildcats (either in person or virtually). Currently, our time together at school is limited so additional art lessons will be posted to the Art Canvas page (use RA link) for
all of our students. This includes both our remote learning and virtual students. Virtual students may join me on Fridays, starting this week. During these Friday class sessions we will review what was covered during class with a mini-lesson and students will be able to show me what they have been doing at home. We will meet from (K/1) 1:00 - 1:30 (2/3) 1:30 - 2:00 and (4 - 5) 2:00 - 2:30. Remote students can stop in during office hours anytime on Wednesday and/or Thursday from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. Special links to these class meetings will be sent out this week.
As art is a creative subject students are allowed to choose what they might like to do. Canvas Choice Boards will be utilized for all of our 1 - 5 grade students. This will allow them freedom to select what interests them and sparks their curiosity. Third - Fifth grade students (second grade is learning) will be more familiar with the process of getting into Canvas and it is expected that the students (V, R, F2F) complete and post/upload, at least, one art activity every four weeks.
As for our K - 1 students lessons their lessons will be posted to Canvas so they can be viewed via a standard tablet. Kindergarten and first grade students are not required to post artwork (but feel free to if you would like).
