Grace, your porcupines contrast well with each other, making your tessellation quite effective. Variation of line thickness helped define the different areas. The quill area reminds me more of a fluffy pom pom or fluffy hairdo. Studying images of porcupines and how the quills are quite sharp/spiky might be helpful. Perhaps if the ends of the lines would taper to a point would help this effect. What are some specific techniques you learned when using Pixlr?
