Thank you for working so hard on this, it not only demonstrates effort, but growth in your perception and skills. However, the directions did say to pose your hand so that your fingers are coming toward you. Observe and record simultaneously (and slowly). Imagine things are flat and two dimensional, don't worry about making them look three dimensional at first. Try to blend and "model" the shading to make it look 3D. Take your time but take pride in your work. Above all, trust the process. I think that you're still having a hard time letting go and letting yourself get lost in the observation stage, where you become more aware of things you ordinarily wouldn't notice- not so much every line and detail, but curves and bends and nicks and subtleties. It takes patience, but also that shift from left-bode to right-mode. Relax, don't worry about how weird or unimportant it is. You can get this, it's almost like you're too worried about not getting it. Above all trust the process.
