Emerson, your gift for art is truly incredible. I have always been impressed w/ your skill & ability to capture what's going in inside your mind & heart. Obviously, this one hits & did hit very hard for me. I have so many happy & fun memories of you that I will cherish forever & I hope someday I can share them with you. My daily hope & prayer is that someday, the feelings, emotions, & messages inside you, that you are & were feeling, when you painted this piece feel different: are different. I know first-hand that the stories of our lives can be rewritten, repainted & I will always strive for ours to be different....better....healed. Until then I want you to know that I love you SO much, that your daddy misses his little girl. My door, my arms....my heart is ALWAYS open for you. As hard as it was to see this piece, I appreciate how you convey what's going on inside you. I've always known that art can be powerful, but your artistic abilities are so much more than that. They are impactful & life-changing. I know this may not have been easy for you to paint, but I appreciate you sharing it. I am confident that one day we can re-paint our broken story. Love, Daddy
