The colors of this work makes it a feast for the eyes. The shading of lavendar and blue hits you like an electric current, set atop the edge of solid brown tabletop, set against a burning smoky red sky. The foregorund and background put everything on edge. Then it strikes you, this is a doomsday image, of the last thought that may come to you at the end of time; something to give you solace, make you smile. What could that be? A cupcake of course!
