Nice technique! Each of the watercolor paintings would have been interesting on its own. Together their contrast emphasizes the coolness or warmness of the other. And the lacy effect of the weaving also adds movement to what could have been a static image.
Then I have technical questions. How did you cut the strips and slots? With a knife or scissors? How did you mix the water color pigments? When you look closely at the colors on each page did they mix on the page as your sweeping brush strokes put the paint to page?
We should plan to look at it closely together when you bring it home.
It might be fun to hang this one over here if you don’t have a place already picked out. PaPa
