Radial Name design

The inspiration for this work was our first names. While we did not plan out this artwork, rather it developed into this colorful design slowly as we made choices about colors. While in the process of creating these very structural, precise, and symmetrical pieces, we realized the importance of being exact in order to keep the symmetrical balance in tact. Many of us were surprised in the end at what interesting designs developed. In creating this artwork, we folded a square piece of paper from corner to corner 'in half' three times. After unfolding, we wrote our names in fancy bubble letters inside one of the triangles. By using a template, we flipped and rotated our name, tracing each time into the next triangle, until all triangles were filled. In the end, we all have a symmetrically balance radial design.
