Hello, Sydney, you have a beautiful rendition of the northern lights. I have seen them many times. Do you know that the same kind of lights in the sky occur near the south pole as well. The northern lights are called Aurora Borealis and the southern lights are called Aroura Australis or something like that. The same kind of lights has even been detected by NASA's satellites as they flew by some of our outer planets. The presence of an Aurora requires a planet to have two things---an atmosphere and a magnetic field. They also require a lot of charged particles to be ejected at high speed from our sun and be streaming by the planet. Each color in the aurora is due to a specific chemical element. I am not certain whether the element is naturally in a planet's atmosphere or only in the particles ejected from our sun. I suppose it might be either or both. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, Sydney, this looks like an Iris. Very colorful and would make a good subject for individual blocks for making a quilt. All of your artworks would lend to the making of beautiful quilts. Do you believe you could find the right colored material to sew together a close approximation of your art work?

Hello, Sydney, Your artwork reminds me of my mother's quilts which she made when I was about your age. She used scraps of cloth to cut out patterns of shapes and sew them onto a large bedsheet sized background cloth to form interesting themes for quilts for bed covers to keep us warm on cold winter nights. Some cotton stuffing was sewn in between the patterned sheet and a plain sheet and a colorful border was added to complete the quilt One pattern I remember was a Dutch girl using a watering can to sprinkle flowers. The quilt was about 6 by 8 feet. Individual pattern block size was about 6-inch squares and the entire quilt had nearly 200 blocks hand sewn onto it. I would like to have a quilt made with your artwork pattern. I believe Michael's store in North Ridgeville has all sorts of quilt making kits and patterns. So if you ever need a hobby and like to sew and have a lot of free time, consider making a quilt.

Very much like fall leaf colors. Good work with watercolors to match real leaf colors. i can recognize oak, maple and ash leafs. However, what is that leaf that has the audacity to remain green this late in the fall?

Hello Sydney, This is a great piece of art. Can you imagine watching a game in which the athlete blends perfectly into the background? Your art almost accomplishes that. A very interesting uniform.

Your art makes a vivid impression of a tree in Pooh's 'Hundred Acre Woods' where there are lights shining through stained glass windows in the upstairs rooms of piglet's, Rabbit's or Owls home. Perhaps piglet is setting by his fireplace in one of those rooms all warm and cozy, reading a good book, drinking hot chocolate and totally not caring how cold or blustery the weather outside might be. Good work Sydney.

If negative space means the space surrounding the main object (your stacked letters), then I could say that I see a Knight in armor on horseback and looking back over his right shoulder. However, I would like to know what you meant to represent in your negative space artwork? It is quite colorful and thought provoking.

Nice work Sydney, You could be an illustrator for a magazine with your talent. I can hardly wait to see your next art project.

Hello Sydney, That is an impressive work of art. I see two things in it. One is a beautifully decorated Easter egg which should win first place if entered in a contest. The second thing I see is the face of a professional Ice hockey Goal tender who has stopped too many Hockey pucks with his face. But maybe your art is a ceremonial mask or the make up on a Japanese actor. Please Let me know what you intended it to be.

I immediately wanted a four scoop, soft ice cream cone with blueberry and chocolate sauce and sparkles in a special cone. However, I will have to wait until the Dairy Dell opens in spring. Very tasty art work Sydney.

An ever expanding circle of colors creates a feeling of magic when I look at it. I almost feel like I could dive into it. Maybe I can get it to give me three magical wishes.

I Like that Christmas stocking Sydney. If I had hung it over my fireplace, Santa would have filled it up with a lot of great things.

This is almost like looking down into a bowl of goldfish. The one at the top must be a catfish and I think his name is Garfield. This art work is a clever illusion of a bowl of fish. Good work,

This looks like a very tough robot. Is he underwater looking for Nemo? Those round, white circles could be bubbles. What is the creature in the upper right corner? Is that an ocean sunfish? If it is then your robot better look out. Ocean sunfish can be ten feet long and weigh more than 4000 pounds. I hope for the sake of your robot that the ocean sunfish is not hungry. The dictionary definition for an Ocean sunfish is; Ocean Sunfish: A large bony fish of the family Molidae, order Tetraodontiformes having high upper and lower fins and a nearly oval body. It can attain a length of ten feet and a weight of two tons. Ask your teacher what Taxonomy means and then put that word in your lexicon.

Aye lassie. This must be Angus MacGregor wearing his ceremonial kilt for the scotish games of tossing the caber and other wee tests of strength. What does M.O.S.H mean? I think it should mean "Move Over Sydney's Here"!

Booooo! Frankencasso says thank you Sydney for sewing me together. If you hadn't stitched me together so cleverly, I would be strewn all over the place in pieces. Now, thanks to you I am all together and handsome. I will really enjoy the monster's ball on Halloween night.

I've never seen a bird at my bird feeder that looks like this. I think it might be either a Jack knife bird because it looks like a jack knife halfway unfolded or a Whitteling Bird because it looks like it has been whitteling. On the other hand it just might be a very rare green winged pink bird. I must admit it is truly a very whimsical bird.

You will have to explain this piece of art to me. What is the meaning of an owl with five burning candles on its head while standing in a dessert? It can't be Dr. Whooo since the doctor is a man. So Whooo is it?

This is not the flagon with the dragon. Therefore it must be the chalace with the palace. But wait I don't see the palace. Yet it definitely is not the flagon with the dragon so it has to be the chalace with the palace. Obviously the palace is on the other side which I can't see. At any rate it is a beautiful work of art full of meaningful iconic representations of the items involved in your first communion.

I am not sure of what this creature is but it looks angry and hungry. Therefore It must be the march lion who starts off on the first of march like a lion (grouchy and mean) and ends going out on march 32 like a lamb (nice and gentle). The grouchy and mean refers to bad weather---cold and windy. The nice and gentle refers to good weather---warm and soft breezes.

Wow. That looks like a coral snake which is extremely poisonous. However, there are other snakes that have similar colosr but not in the same order. A coral snake has red bands of color next to yellow bands of color. Therefore creating a saying "Red on Yellow, Poisonous fellow, Red on black, no worry jack" If you ever see a snake that looks like it might be a coral snake, stay away from it regardless of how pretty it might look. But aside form all of that you have ceated a very good likeness of a coral snake look alike,] Good art work Sysney. PAPA
