News from your child's school art room

Lake Prairie Art News, Nov 18th
from Ms. Sayers, Lake Prairie's Art Teacher

WOW!!  The number of galleries and fan club members is growing; as is our students pride and excitement.

As I was checking out the galleries, I noticed that you can have your child's artwork placed on personalized holiday cards and they are on sale until Nov. 25th.  Check it out!!  Just click on your child's work and to the right of the main image you can see it on various products.

   Did you know...
That if your child is creating art at home, you can upload it to Artsonia also.  There are two very easy ways to do this.
     1.  Download the Artsonia app to your iPhone, iPod or iPad device (the Android version is expected to be released in the next couple of months).  Using the app you will be able to photograph any of your child's work and upload it directly to the Artsonia website.
    2.  Photograph your child's works using a digital camera, save the image to your computer and then upload the picture to our website.

Students will continue to work on projects from last week; so I'm hoping to have new galleries posted for your viewing over the holiday weekend.

In the meantime, check what 1st grade learned when they created their Fall Reflections early this year.

Special thanks goes out to Mrs. Bakker for photographing artwork and helping me get caught up.  Throughout the year I will be contacting parents who volunteered to help to take and upload photos to the website.

Artsonia is the largest student art museum in the world! Our dream is that every young artist will have an online art gallery, preserving their masterpieces in a digital portfolio!
