Welcome New Technology in the Art Room
from Mrs. Sakewicz-Frank
First, I'd like to start by saying thank you to all of the parents, family members and friends who have purchased gifts from the Artsonia Giftshop. Your purchases have provided the art room with funds for new technology. Last year's purchase of Apple TV allows me to connect my iPad to the TV in the art room and will allow it to work with the smartboard in the computer lab. Students will have access to online image galleries, art tutorials, and exposure to more technology as they prepare for our technology filled future.

Second, I would like to invite you to send in photos of your children and family involved in summer activities to add the the bulletin board outside the computer lab titled, Our Summer Rocked. Please include names, the activity, and where it took place. I received a new camera at the start of the summer and was able to capture several of our students and Mannington family at soccer camp, the Woodstown 4th of July parade, and the Salem County Fair. You can send in printed photos or email them to me at hsakewicz@manningtonschool.org Please take a moment and view our Mannington family involved in their rocking summer adventures.

Finally, thank you for your continued support. I am excited to be heading back to a new school year filled with adventure and look forward to seeing all of my students. Many of our upcoming art projects are already listed on my webpage, which can be easily accessed through our school webpage or through Oncourse. The link Art Class Contests & Events lists all of the upcoming events in which our students can participate. The first contest: Wheaton Arts' Design a Glass Bug's entry form is also available on the link.

I look forward to seeing everyone Thursday morning!
