Meet Lauren Polacsek-Heath

Biography
Lauren has had the joy of teaching for much of her life to students of all ages. Lauren is in her thirteenth year of teaching art at ZWMS. This year she is teaching seventh graders. She is in her 25th year of teaching art, as she has taught in New York, Colorado, and Indiana to kindergartners through twelfth graders.

Lauren received her B.A. from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, and an M.B.A. from Albany at S.U.N.Y., as well as a Certificate of Microcomputer Specialist from the Community College of Denver. She has taken additional graduate courses at several colleges in N.Y. and Colorado. She is licensed to teach visual arts, and business education K-12 in the state of Indiana, as well as New York State.

As a practicing artist, Lauren owned "LP Designs" in which she designed hidden images serigraphs and sold to stores and at tourist sites through her own booth.

Outside of the classroom Lauren keeps busy enjoying activities with her husband and young adult aged children. She also continues to take art classes in different medias. Lauren is eager to share her knowledge and experiences with all of her students.
