Devin, I've just read several of the comments your family and friends have left for you. Do they sound familiar?? I've told you the first year I had you that you are a talented artist. One of the comments were about you taking your talent to college and putting it to use as a career. I am confident you would do quite well in the art field no matter what it is. I love art, and have for as long as I can remember. I knew I wanted to be an art teacher since I was in Second Grade. It is truly an awesome job. I get to do art and share it with you guys. But most importantly I get to see what you guys share with me. Did I mention they actually pay me for this? Having a job that you don't dread every single day is worth more than just the income. It's a sense of calm and peace in the midst of what seems to be chaos at times. I will deeply miss you all so much next year. So, listen to these people encouraging you, take their advice. If you look closely at these and believe, in your own way you can become that. There is a spirit in art. I see these as a spirit of invincibility Sometimes when I'm in a situation, I focus on being capable of overpowering the forces against me. Devin, you may not realize it, but your art is influenced by your spirit. The more you feed it the more it grows. These are great pictures.

Devin: I think you are a WONDERFUL, TALENTED ARTIST!! I think if you apply to art colleges, then you will have your pick of where you want to go. Then you will be able to do what you love and make a living at it. (You may have to get out of Gideon, though.) You could work in an advertising company or be an art teacher yourself!!
