Congratulations, dear Maci, on earning an Honorable Mention for the Reflections contest. I was very happy that you were among the top ten artists statewide honored so thoughtfully at the recent PTA convention in Champaign. I also was tickled from head to toe to hear people comment about your art as we stood close by. And wasn't it fun to hear Joey tell you that he loved your picture and especially to have all of your cousins and sister with you on such a wonderful day? I will always remember it. Love, Mom

Dear Maci, I love your Lady Liberty statute and it made me think of Omie -- so many things you girls do make me think of her. Omie was 15 years old when she came to this country by herself to live and saw the Statue of Liberty as she entered this country by boat. She was a young, scared girl who saw that breath-taking statue in New York. She would have loved how her beautiful oldest granddaugher drew it 57 years after she first saw it. Love, Mom

Maci, I do not know why I am always so surprised when I look at your artwork. After all you are the best artist I know! We did these switcheroo zoo animals in I think 1st or 2nd grade but anyone who didn`t know that would swear it was done by a 6th grader. I still can`t draw like that. Great job on every piece of artwork even the ones I've never seen because I know they are amacing. (remember, a mac ing) Ju
