Hi Kaisei! I LOVE your latest work of art - the colors are lively and bold. Your perspective makes your artwork exciting. Of course Sahuaros are close to my heart because your grandfather and I went to graduate school in Tucson ( your father too) at the University of Arizona. Saguaros are king in the Sonoran Desert there.

Hi Kaisei, interesting painting! It is exciting how the design makes it three dimensional. It draws your eyes into the center. The colors are intense. I call those “jewel” colors. Fun!

Wow Kaisei! My first reaction is, “that would make the best Halloween card”! Fun colors and a character who is trying to scare us!

Wow! That colorful artwork would make a dandy Christmas card! When you visit me in North Carolina, you see those bright red cardinals in my back yard, don’t you? That makes my heart sing like that chirpy cardinal!

Kaisei, your Aunt Elizabeth would love your latest artwork!! She has two kitties and your artwork kitty reminded me of her Siamese cats. The blues you used adds a mystery to your cat. And cats seem to be mysterious and independent animals. You can never be quite sure what is on a cat’s mind! Keep up your interesting, beautiful artwork!!! We all get excited about your artistic creations!!! Love and hugs, Grandma

Oh Kaisei! Your underwater drawing is fun and whimsical. The submarine makes me laugh-it is so cute! The shark looks hungry and menacing. Your drawing is like a scene from a Disney animated movie! Fun! Love, Grandma

Hi Kaisei, your new art piece is another blue ribbon winner. You have movement in the night sky with your circles and swirls. It is a happy picture and that is how I feel when I look up into the heavens of the night sky and think of those stars and planets so far out in space, yet we see them from our good Mother Earth here. It looks like you have the Milky Way in it. The native Americans think that the milky cluster of stars that arch our night sky are campfires of our ancestors on their way to heaven. The desert below seems so quiet as if it is welcoming the starry night. Thanks for sharing your lovely artwork. Love, Grandma.

Hi Kaisei, I am crazy about this painting!!!! Wow!!!! I just love it. It tells a story and makes you think about the people in the boat. What is happening is a question you ask yourself. The colors are strong, and the composition balanced. I sent the picture to my Swiss friend who is an artist and she was so impressed!!!! Keep up your wonderful art work!!! You are making us all so happy with your creativity. Can you give me some art lessons? Love, Grandma

Hi Kaisei, I like the balance in your work very much. The shovel on the left brings your eye up and then swoops to the smaller figures. The colors are quiet and makes me think the picture is like it is out of a dream! Kool! Love, Grandma

Hi Kaisei, wow! Your newest piece of artwork is bright and bold. Your design is well balanced . How did you do that so well? Your work reminds me of a Swiss sculptor Eric Caulder. Some of Caulder’s big moving sculptures are on display in downtown Chicago. Your father lived in the suburbs not far from Chicago. We Will have to visit Chicago and see some of Caulder’s sculptures. I love your piece so much. It is amazing in its design, balance, and color. You are an artist!! Love grandma

Kaisei, I am crazy about your city scape. The colors are intensely bold and beautiful. The color combinations remind me of a happy city full of fun and exciting things to do. You have put the bright colors together in a very interesting way to make the picture very balanced. Boy you are really a good artist!!! I want to forward your picture to your father’s cousin, Christy who is an artist and whose specialty is cityscapes. Yeah Kaisei! Love, Grandma

This dreamy piece of your latest art work reminds me of a funny/whimsical animal with an insect face and a mammal's body. I also can see a flying pig or is it Jenny? But it surely looks cuddly. I think I would like to take it to bed with me! Wouldn't you? Love, grandma

Dear Kaisei, I am back from visiting in Ohio and saw your latest artwork. Wow!!!! The happy colors and round shapes "talk" to me. The middle of your picture pops off the paper.......it looks real. The action of the colored dots makes me feel like I see dots dancing around and cheering the bright big shapes. I LOVE it!!!! But I would like you to tell me about it as well. Love, Grandma
