Hey Vera, the first thing I thought of when I saw this picture is that it looked like you when you were dressed up as Pharaoh! I wonder if this is his sarcophagus! This one doesn't look as mean as the Pharaoh from the Passover story however. Beautiful picture. Have you ever seen a real sarcophagus? If you want, maybe we can see one with a real mummy over Passover! -- Savta

Hi Vera - This is a really cool picture. What an interesting tree. I remember first hearing about Baobab tree when I read the story "The Little Prince" in French class. Did you hear that story yet? Hey Vera, Allen saw your portrait and immediately said it looked like a Modigliani. He saw an large exhibit on this artist when he was in France last year. (He could have shown you lots of pictures of them). He thought you did a great job since he could recognize the artist you were imitating right away. I think this portrait is fantastic!
