This picture entitled “Green Person” reminded me of the movie “Avatar” and the people so close to their natural world of Pandora. Thanks for continuing to share your creative efforts in a world and time that doesn’t much seem to value these gifts even though we urgently need them. Grampy

What an interesting way to think about your strengths and interests. Very cool. Another triumph, my dear.

I appreciated how the process to me revealed a side to snowflakes that I don’t often think about—-their weightiness, as in a snow storm. There is a kind of brassiness about these snowflakes. These snowflakes are to be contended with. Grampy

Hi Kendall, I appreciated your self portrait. I thought it showed no little maturity for a person of your age. I appreciated the duality of our human feelings and emotions—- that we are not just one thing. Sadness and gladness are there in most of us, in any given time. I also found a calmness in the colors you chose, and appreciated that. Lastly, I think it took no little courage to present this honest portrayal of yourself— a very vital quality for an artist and for life itself. We’ll done. Grampy.

Kendall Thanks for sharing the self portrait. I've missed seeing your art here so it was a welcome surprise. I think your comments are right on. You certainly got the eyes correctly. Perhaps a smile might have made the mouth a bit easier to capture. All in all- I like it a lot. Love Poppa Paul

This is an interesting self portrait. It reveals an emerging, changing young person. She approaches this stage with apprehension, anticipation, sadness and happiness. The subtle colors imply a gentle, cautious approach. To me it indicates a sensitive, intelligent individual facing the present and future aware of the hills and valleys to encounter.

Very nice job on your self portrait! Drawing yourself is one of the hardest things an artist can attempt. Keep up the good work and I hope your love of art will last you a lifetime!

This tells a lot about our world situation...a lot of stops and starts, many blue moods. There is hope in the eyes. Interesting tesselation.

A touch of whimsy, hope and imagination are evident in this creation. The wonder and innocence in the Phoenix , the blue curlicues, little pink wings, yellow mouth, tiny teeth make me think of growth, adventures, challenges and facing the future. Another triumph my dear.

Hi Kendall: Your picture reminds me of something Nini and I have always wanted to do but probably never will: Visit Holland in the spring and, among other things and as the song goes: "Tip-toe Through the Tulips"--or at least witness the amazing fields of colors which you have displayed in your picture. It cheered up our day definitely. Thanks. Grampy

You are mastering the mixing of colors. That is a hard thing for a lot of people to do. I'm happy to see that you like art.????

What a lovely landscape, Kendall! I can see myself opening the windmill door and walking up stairs to look over the beautiful fields. Keep up the good work.

Kendall: I really like the way this tree seems to be reaching out to the sky, and I appreciate how you made the sky look. The scene is to me very striking.

My eyes go to the background which is swirling and interesting with shades and swirls of whites and grey. The tree calls my focus to see it reaching and stretching There appear to be 2 eyes peering from the top of the tree trunk. Watching..waiting...wondering what will be made of this artistic expression. Do I see what you see?

I love this Rooster - truly the most confident rooster I've ever seen. Your mom thought this fine fella might look perfect in NH. I agree. We are gong to frame him and give him a proper spot on our walls.

What a delightful, colorful bird. Did origami paper and a folded bird inspire you? Great colors, shapes and a bird at rest, watching, ready to fly.
