Dear Parker, This is so creative! I get a free-flowing feeling just like real vines grow wherever they wish. I appreciated your step by step explanation of how you created this and as always, your artistic ability brought it “to life””. Love, Grandma Carolyna

Hi Parker, Wow, I really like your statement because you explained, step by step, how you made the coil pot. It is so intricate and each row is special in its own way, yesterday fits together with the other rows. You did a fabulous work of art, Parker. Remind me to show you the star I made and decorated (not glazed or fired) when I was in kindergarten. It is primitive compared to yours, but hung on Christmas trees for over 30 years. What will you put in yours?Gram

Hi Parker, As you might guess, I wondered if there was a real person as Steven He and, of course there is. I Googled him and was amazed at how much your portrait resembles the photo of him. It was like looking at 2 photographs of the same person. The background shading really makes his face more prominent. I like the bit of a smile and his eyes seem to have a twinkle-sort of like you. Hi Parker, The 12 Birds of Birdtopia is very interesting. I read your statement and agree that their feathers are very realistic and I see that you colored the color wheel. What I wonder about is, did you draw each bird separately and color it in or did you reproduce each bird ( like from a copy) before coloring? You did a great artistic piece because I feel like I am watching a merry-go-round of birds go round & round. Love, Grandma

Hi Parker, That One Bee certainly looks real. I appreciate reading your statement, this time about making the bee stand out by coloring it with warm colors and placing it against a cool colored mosaic background. Oh, No, I think I hear buzzing. Has he come to life? Love, Grandma

Dear Parker, This is such a clever idea. Did you go on a scavenger hunt around the house, arrange according to the color wheel and then take a picture? You sure have a variety of objects although I wonder why I see so many Rubik’s (sp.?) cubes. The objects show up well against the black background. You are so creative. Love, Carolyn

Hi Parker, I sure am learning about artists and styles from you & your art teacher. I Googled Britto and your works style-wise looks so much like the work he does. Yes, I agree I like the mountains best but you have so many great cloud formations, well I just love it all. Your creativity astounds me. Love, Grandma

Hi Parker, Each time I look at this picture, I feel like I should be listening to “In the Hall of the Mountain King” as background music. As I read through your commentary, you really learned a lot of terms and techniques to turn out this very involved picture. So much is happening in this picture that it really “draws me in”. Love, Grandma Carolyn

Hi Parker, Once again, your artistic ability shines through on this beautiful autumn leaf. I am so happy that you gave this to me as a Christmas ornament that I have on display all year. (Not on a tree, as you know.) I was wondering if you drew it all “freehand” or did you use a leaf as your guide? Also, did you color the gray shading which gave it depth? Love, Grandma Carolyn Carolyn

Hi Parker, This art project of yours is really fascinating. You have so many things which are of interest to you and every time I look at it I find something new. The artist on the right side is so amazingly lifelike as is the Rubick’s (sp..?) cube. Each article is different yet you combined them perfectly into one exciting piece. Love, Grandma Carolyn

Dear Parker, On this cold and very snowy white morning your sunflowers artwork brings much joy and warmth to me. I have a copy of Mr. Van Gogh's Sunflowers and Parker, I like yours the best. Love, Grandma

Dear Parker, Your Pinwheel for Peace is just wonderful. I like the way you decorated it and I know that if people all over the world could see it they would feel very happy. I know that it makes me feel very happy. You are a great artist. Love, Grandma

Dear Parker, This is the first time I saw this artwork of yours and I am amazed. I see that you used mainly the primary colors as well as three main shapes. You are so creative! What is your next picture going to be about? Much love. Grandma

Dear Parker, I am writing to you a second time about your real looking pumpkin painting. It looks good enough to make a pumpkin pie out of. And you even remembered to put a stem on it. Great work!
