I love this painting. There is so much going on, with the birds and the fox, the sky and the sun, it's really full of action!

I'm so honored to be part of your Blue Series! I love the plane in the background, so amazing!

I love how it says "Lion" and how you made the letters sort of different shapes. I love the heard of the lion, and the bushes are so interesting, it's hard to tell if they are close or very far away!

Another great one in the blue series. I love the bird, singing to the sun, or looking at the sun, and the parallel lines the flowers make with the tree, and the fact that the last flower, is just a little bent :) Oh yeah! And I love the fact that this bird is GREEN!

I love how she seems to moving, walking with her flowers. I love the angle of her hat, and how her hair is peeking out from underneath!

I love the head of this animal, which I think is a horse, but not completely. I love the plants that look like they are in vases, which gives the whole thing a surreal look, as if a horse with lipstick is not surreal enough! I love this one, and how it's similar to some of the others in blue, and the plant is similar.

Another great piece, with terrific detail. I love looking at the little things you put into your paintings! The small details.

A beautiful animal, with wonderful eyes! I love how the ears both move in the same direction, giving it a sense of movement, super cute!

A great sampling of your different talents, I love how each box is another world, another texture. For an artist to create so much in such a small space, but not just one but eight small spaces, it's amazing!

This is an interesting piece. It reminds me of the deep dark hues I see when I fly early in the morning or just as the sun is setting, when you can't tell the horizon, when you can't tell the earth from the heavens. I like the stars, or eyes in the darkness. The colors below are warm, and turn cool before turning dark and black.

This is another fine piece where you focus only on the flowers and vines, showing us great detail and color, against a sparse background. I wonder which flowers and plants you used or remembered when you drew this :)

This is amazing. A hand with lines across it, yet the lines rise as they cross the hand, showing how the hand is three-dimensional, giving depth to the piece. While the lines give depth to the piece, they also seem to constrain the hand, to pin it down, tie it to the painting, and also are part of the hand, as the lines make up the digits in the fingers. I almost feel like it's my hand reaching out, into an unknown world. It has a great science fiction quality to it. The colors are even sort of alien, blue, green and purple, against a white unknown void. Beautiful piece.

This is an amazing landscape, with an unsettling quality of not being grounded, as the sky is underneath the land, and the trees the sky. It's makes me wonder which way is up and which way is down. Really amazing!

This is an amazing painting. I look at this bird, it's still and caged, however we seem to be inside the cage with the bird, not looking into the cage but looking out with the bird. Our perspective is the same as the bird, as the bars are on the other side of the bird. Perhaps we are not as threatened by a cage if we are inside with such a beautiful bird?

I feel there is an amazing story behind this painting! I love it that it's all in Purple, with no other color. I love the girl is like a mysterious stranger, from another planet almost. Even the plants are different, with roses growing sideways from a tree trunk. I love it that you take risks with your art, putting things in places they are not expected. It shows you are confident with your material.

I love the sun in this, and the moving swan, but with no trace of its movement. It's definitely moving, but there is no wake. I love the sun, how it has holes in it. It gives the whole painting a sort of unsettling look, a sun with holes above a swan with no wake. Amazing!

So beautifully colorful! Just like your personality Stella! It reminds me of the "Colors" poem: My skin is kind of sort of brownish/Pinkish yellowish white./My eyes are greyish blueish green,/But I’m told they look orange in the night./My hair is reddish blondish brown,/But it’s silver when it’s wet./ And all the colors I am inside/Have not been invented yet. ~Shel Silverstein

Excellent Stella! With the blues, whites, greys and violet, you've poetically created an eloquent twilight snowflake...a kind of light snowflake that shines at night, like falling stars...the story of fairy tales:-) ...and each snowflake is as unique as you are.. :-) "...did you know/That every flake of snow/That forms so high/In the grey winter sky/And falls so far/Is a bright six-pointed star?/...Each star/Is newly forged, as faces are,/ Shaped to its own design/Like yours and mine./And yet each one/Melts when its flight is done;/Holds frozen loveliness/A moment, even less;/Suspends itself in time/And passes like a rhyme."

"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You" (Dr Seuss). Dr Seuss is so funny in the way he says things, but these are true words. You are a unique, interesting and lovely girl Stella! Everything you are makes you special ?? Always be confident in who you are and what you do. It will make you a powerful force.

Very inspiring Stella! This beautiful drawing remind me of the stanza of a poem by e e cummings: i carry your heart with me ( i carry it in my heart) .............,... "here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart) " (e e cummings)

Hi Stella, I teach at a university, and when I look at your artwork, I see the mind behind it. Once I read a poem which said "The half-sun is like a fallen angel, Not high handed, yet divine..." You seem to think and feel deeply. Continue to put your mind and heart into all you do, and you will have success. Cherrie

Dear Stella, I teach at a university, and when I look at your artwork, I not only see the art itself, but the mind behind it. This one you call "The Half-heart Sun" I once read a poem which said "The half-sun is like a fallen angel. Not high handed, yet divine..." You seem to think and feel deeply. I encourage you to continue to put your mind and heart in all you do, and you will have success. Best always. Cherrie
