Dur ... read moreing his career, William has maintained the belief that students who participate in a strong visual arts program grow and develop into well rounded individuals. He feels that having a background in the arts enables a person to develop critical and creative thinking skills which leads to the ablility to think outside the box when problem solving and working in other academic studies in school. As a teacher, he understands that students' skills develop at different rates, and encourages students to use their best efforts in class to succeed.
William is also a representational artist. He paints and draws figures, landscapes, and narratives. He stives to communicate the story and experiences of his subjects from everyday life in his work. He believes that a continued development of his own skills will better enable him to teach his students to appreciate and create their own works of art.
