My goal as an art teacher has always been to inspire visual awareness and foster intellectual development through the elements of art, art appreciation, principles of design, and how we see the world around us. I enjoy teaching students’ various mediums and techniques, encourage them to take risks with their art, introduce them to a variety of artists, and help them develop creative confidence. Art is a process and not always about the product. I believe that if a child enjoys the process they will continue to show growth in their art making. I honor hard work and effort over talent, everyone has the ability to create and express themselves through art!
