Jodi Herring
Hi. I'm Ms. Herring, Smithfield's art teacher. I studied studio art with an emphasis in sculpture, printmaking, and painting at The College of Charleston. After 9 years of teaching 1st-3rd grade, this is my second year teaching art at Smithfield! I trained at MassArt for the Teaching for Artistic Behavior method. We have our art studio here set up for students to make their own original artwork in the centers of their choice!Our focus is process rather than product.
In addition to teaching art, I also enjoy sewing and gardening. I fill my creative bank account by reading, hiking, traveling, and looking for patterns in nature and architecture. How do you fill yours? |
