Julie Hoyer
I have been teaching art for seven years. This is my second year at Lathrop and I am having a good time getting to know my students. One third of our school is bilingual with their first language being Spanish. It can be challenging since I do not speak Spanish (although they are teaching me). We need to rely on communicating visually. I love to see their excitement we they try new things and I really like to see how thrilled they are when they see their artwork on the internet!
