Liza Mathews
I have taught at Neil Cummins Elementary School in Corte Madera, California, for 30+ years, in Kindergarten, 3rd, and 4th grades, as well as being a Reading and EL Specialist and teaching Art in grades K-3. I'm passionate about teaching through the arts! I love using the Studio Habits of Mind in my classroom, creating opportunities for my students to observe closely, engage and persist, express, stretch and explore, develop craft, understand community, and reflect. My goal is to provide students opportunities to develop and practice these habits of mind daily in our classroom and at home. Imagination empowers! Creativity engages! Keep making art!
