I am currently student teaching and anticipating receiving my Art Education K-12 teaching license in May of 2012 from the Metropolitan State College of Denver. I obtained my BFA from the same institution in 2008 with a concentration in Painting and Art History.
I love sharing my knowledge of the arts with students, and I am an avid supporter of the enhancement of the arts in education. As a future teacher of the visual arts I feel it is incredibly important that I continue creating my own work as an artist so that I may continue to change and grow along with my students. |

When I first began my student teaching experience at Slavens I was nervous and well a little scared. I had observed in classrooms but never taught a lesson.
