Jacqueline McElhany Hello! My name is Jacqueline McElhany and I have been teaching at Emory H. Markle Intermediate School for the past four years. I acquired my education degree from Millersville University and recently completed my Masters in Education from the Maryland Institute College of Art. My classroom is learner-centered where I encourage and challenge students to come up with their own ideas, materials, and techniques. In addition to teaching, I love making my own artwork. Clay is my favorite medium as I love throwing on the pottery wheel and sculpting three-dimensionally. Most recently, I have been interested in bookbinding and creating three-dimensional paper sculptures that include old photographs and hand sewing. When not making art, I enjoy traveling to new places. Over the summer, I spent two weeks in Ireland where I drove around the entire country. It was amazing meeting new people and experiencing a different culture! I love spending time outdoors and will do anything to spend some time outside on a sunny day. Send compliment
