Valerie Ivy
I have enjoyed making art since I was a young child. My dad used to work as a general contractor. I remember helping him tint paint colors. I was always amazed at how the colors changed.
I studied art education at Radford University. My certification is for visual arts, (prek-12th grade).Painting and paper assemblage are my favorite ways to create personal artwork. Recently I have been learning to work with glass. I also enjoy various crafts. Previously, I taught art for 8 years in Sussex County Virginia at Jefferson, Chambliss, and Sussex Central Elementary Schools. I then spent 4 years in Prince George County at Walton Elementary. I am very excited to start year 13 teaching art at MCES. |
