Sue D'Elia I am Hooper 's K-5 art teacher, Mrs. Susan D'Elia, and I maintain this site as well as our school's participation with Artsonia. I've taught in Toms River for 17 years, as well as 16 years teaching K-5 at "the Hoop". I was born and raised in Toms River, NJ. I entered grad school at Georgian Court University and achieved a dual certification to teach K-12 Art and Special Education. I believe art is an essential part of a child's education especially during these challenging times. It is important for their educational and social emotional growth.
