Joan Mills
2020. Every day I learn something new about art and the positive influence that art has on my life. I am an alumnus of the University of New Hampshire where I received my degree in Art Education. I also hold a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. In 2006 I received my National Board Certification in Early Middle Childhood Art. The Illinois Art Education Association named me Elementary Art Educator of the Year in 2009. I serve the profession as an IAEA board member and present workshops and lectures at the local, state, and national levels. In my free time, I enjoy creating art, playing golf, reading, going to the gym, and catching up with friends and family.
