I have always loved art, although for a while I thought I would be a veternarian instead of an Art Teacher! It has all worked out because I love helping students learn about art!
Everyone has some artistic ability, even if they don't draw well. To become an Art Teacher I attended the University of Nevada in Reno. I took all sorts of art classes and even studied abroad for a year in Australia and 2 summers in Costa Rica to learn a little Spanish.
