Alie Brooks
My name is Alie Miller, I am 29 years old and an art teacher at Diamond Elementary School in Montgomery County, Maryland. I graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor's degree in Art Education, with a concentration in ceramics. In addition to ceramics, I also found a love for textiles and printmaking during my final year of school. I have a Master's degree in Art Education from Maryland Institute College of Art where I conducted research in the classroom and continued with my art practice, exploring textile materials.
I love my job and I love educating my students in both techniques and content. I'm motivated by my Students, who surprise me every day in their abilities, excitement, and their curiosity. |

Welcome! I'm thrilled to be your child's art teacher. I hold a B.A. in Visual Communication from the University of North Carolina, and earned an M.A.T. in Museum Education from The George Washington University. I encourage students to make personal choices and use critical thinking to create meaningful artwork. In our studio, we emphasize creating and connecting to art, using a variety of materials and techniques. I can't wait to see the masterpieces your children will produce.
