Lesley Shaffner
Hello, I am Mrs. Shaffner. I teach Intro to Art 6th Grade and 7th Grade Advanced Art at Westbrook Intermediate. I also am an artist myself and make sculptures made out of wire and mixed media. I believe that everyone is creative and it is my hope that this class will help you explore your creative potential in a space where you feel safe to try new things, make mistakes, and use those mistakes to help make you grow stronger as an artist. We all bring unique backgrounds and stories to the table and I will encourage you to incorporate your own uniqueness into your projects. Don’t be afraid to step out of the box, trust your instincts, and follow through with the Creative Process!
