Theresa Hammons
Theresa Hammons has served as the Director of the McKinney Center and Jonesborough’s Mary B. Martin Program for the Arts since January 2014. Originally a native of Southwest Virginia, Theresa has lived in East Tennessee since 2006 and most recently served as the Director of the Reece Museum at ETSU. Theresa has her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Appalachian Studies from Berea College and Appalachian State University and began working in museums at the age of 17. Theresa also worked at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian for six years and assisted researching and curating exhibitions.
