I believe that through the process of visual expression - students learn about themselves. By building a student's art vocabulary, students will be able to speak more clearly about their work, as well as work of other artists.
Art is a constant decision making process. As students grow, so do their thoughts, emotions and perception in a world that is ever-changing. Through the exploration of methods and techniques as well as through the integration of cross curriculum subjects such as math, history and science - a child's horizon is broadened well beyond the classroom. I look forward to seeing my students each week at St. Anne's Academy for Girls, and am so excited to join them in their creative journey! |
