Welcome to Mrs Carr Artsonia Biography! Growing up near the Quad Cities I found myself interested in creating and the arts, as well as education. There was no great leap from childhood interests into my major of art education at the University of Northern Iowa. I began teaching right out of college, mostly in elementary art with a lovely one-year stint in middle school. I graduated with my masters in education from Viterbo University where my studies focused on connections between art and social consciousne ... read moress. I continue to enjoy the pursuit of knowlege and growing as a professional, as well as making time to create my own art. I take every chance I get to travel and try to incoorporate as much art and art history as I can into each adventure. I think artsonia is a great project/tool that not only gives families and friends a chance to pride and discuss art with their students, but also gives students a global connection to humanity through art. I have enjoyed my experiences with artsonia and I hope you do too! I look forward to many more years in the field of art education!
