I have been teaching art for 14 years and have a BFA in Art Education from the University of North Texas. . I have been teaching art since 2002 and I have never seen the amazing connection that art can have with the children when everything all lines up across the subjects like it does with Core Knowledge. . It thrills me to watch their faces light up when they realize they are studying the same thing with their classroom teacher that we are talking about in art. The artwork that you will see from your child is related to history so be sure to ask them about what it is that we studied :)
