I knew I wanted to be an art teacher in the 7th grade. I was inspired by my art teachers and I love what I do. Art education has changed so much in recent years. With so much emphasis on technology and integration with other subjects we are finding amazing ways to use our creative minds. Nancy Murphy
I joined the teaching profession after more than a decade of service in the US Army. I am a Kent State graduate, and got my master's from Chapman University, and my art endorsement classes from the University of Arizona. I am a Pennsylvania native who has lived in Arziona for the past 16 years. I am married with three great kids- one in high school and one at Ohio State, and one at Penn State. I love my job, except for the paperwork. As a child, I was the hyper toddler who would only calm down when I had a crayon or paintbrush in my hands.
