Lori Raggio
My name is Lori Raggio. I have been working at Woodstown High School since April of 2003. I came from The Woodlynde School in Strafford, PA where I taught Art to grades 3-12 for 5 years. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Art and a minor in Art History in 1994. In May of 2011, I completed my Master's Degree in Art Education from Boston University. I have worked at various art centers in the area including Cheltenham Center for the Arts, Perkins Art Center in Moorestown, Markeim ... read moreArt Center in Haddonfield and most recently at Appel Farm and Art Center in Elmer, NJ. My most cherished accomplishment was being chosen one of 22 art teachers from across the country for a two day workshop with Robert Rauschenberg at the Lab School in DC in 1999. I was also honored to speak at the National Art Education Convention in NYC last year about the work I did on my thesis- Encouraging Meaningful Artmaking through the use of a Thematic Open-Ended Lesson that builds Independent Thinking and Creativity. Personally I love to paint, draw, travel and visit art museums. I am also fascinated with how students today creatively problem solve using technology. PS- I also love baseball (Go Phillies).
