Biography

My name is Sarah Kitchen and I have been teaching since 2004. In 2003 I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education and in 2012 I received my Master’s Degree from Wayne State University.

I have always enjoyed the arts and create my own artwork whenever possible. Exploring mediums and techniques is a passion of mine and I have gone through stages of “favorite mediums” over the years, although I have always loved drawing, especially subject matter with a lot of detail.

Since college, I have worked with students of all ages, but currently work at Detroit Country Day Middle School. Every day I have the opportunity to help students explore new ways of expressing themselves through art and I love it!
