Biography

As a teacher I wish to motivate my students toward a level of independence where they develop a desire to learn and think for themselves. In my quest to develop independent thinkers, I also strive to promote cross-cultural awareness and appreciation. I want my students to realize the extent to which art can and has changed our lives, and portrayed history as well. How the arts have influenced individuals and masses, and documented them at the same time. I create enthusiasm by using varied visual media, especially images from popular culture of the past and present they may be familiar with. I wish to teach my students to learn through art the power we hold in ourselves.
