Meet Karen Mannino

Biography
Ms. Mannino has been teaching Art since 2006, starting at WOK Middle School, where she also established and facilitated the Art Club and Girls' Soccer Team. Between 2006 and 2014, WOK student artists attended and participated in the Union County Teen Arts Festival and Union County Youth Art Month Exhibits. Ms, Mannino also coached softball at Hillside High School from 2008 - 2014. From 2014 - 2016, she taught Painting and Introduction to Art at Dickinson High School in Jersey City, where her students' artwork was selected for display at the YAM Museum at NAEA's National Convention, Hudson County Youth Art Month Exhibit, New Jersey State Youth Art Month Exhibit, Hudson County Teen Arts Festival, and various district-wide exhibitions. She returned to Hillside in 2016, first to WOK, then to Ola Edwards Community School in 2017, where again student artwork was selected for display at the Union County & New Jersey State Youth Art Month Exhibits, and the YAM Museum at NAEA's National Convention. Additionally, from 2016 - 2022 she served as an Executive Board Member for the Art Educators of New Jersey where she was appointed State Youth Art Month Chair. Currently, Ms. Mannino teaches Art at Ola Edwards Community School and serves as the assistant coach for the girls' soccer team at Hillside High School.
