Biography

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Childbridge Center for Education's Artsonia website. My name is Kimberly, and I am the art therapist at the school. I love working with and watching the students engage in art. Through this website, I hope to bring daily art projects and work samples to you all, the parents, the teachers, family and more. To tell you a little about myself, I graduated from Illinois State University in 2009 with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish and Sociology. I took some time off while working at a local preschool before deciding to go back to school. I graduated from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in 2015 with my Master's in Counseling, with a concentration in art therapy. I am also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I worked at Little City's ChildBridge Center for Education from 2015-2019 and started back here in September of 2021. I first started at this school doing my internship for graduate school, and I fell in love. Now that I am back here, I am back home. I am happy and proud to be working with these students, they amaze me every day in their creativity and imagination. I hope you all find this website helpful and fun.
